Sick Days

I took a sick day yesterday. Although, many in our family had flu symptoms over the weekend, I am the only one still sick. What starts as a virus always turns into bronchitis for me, so I let my Beloveds play. And this is the result: a knight's armour made out of aluminum pans.

A Tribute to the Prophet ♥

We have only been in Michigan for a month and Alhumdulilah, we are already being put to work. We were blessed to help out with a wonderful program: A Tribute to the Prophet. I decided on doing three activities for the children's program. The first activity: Cookie Decorating was a big hit with all the children. My little helper, Azara and I spent two days baking over 100 cookies. Our wonderful cookie cutters are no longer available on Amazon, but they now have these.

He is so remarkable because of his social service that he has done for his country's people teaching a whole community in La Palma to be self-sufficient through art. They sale many painted items using the techiques and rich colors that Llort is famous for.

Muslim Plays for Children

My children and some of their friends want to start their own business, where they write and produce plays for Children. This is a sample of what they started, there was absolutely no parent involvement in the production. They wrote, scheduled practices and edited the play all themselves.

If you are in the Baltimore/DC/Northern Virginia/Philadelphia area and would like for them to perform at your school, business, or home, please contact us here. They are willing to do their play in Urdu.

30 Minute Puppet Theater

Quick Simple Projects have become a specialty for Lil A and I. The projects are short enough to keep her attention but provides hours and hours of fun afterwards. Yeah!

Everything that went into creating this puppet theater I already had at home, I keep poster boards around the house, I had string and scraps of fabric, and Lil A just received the paint for her birthday.

You can find the step by step instructions on how to make your very own Simple Puppet Theater here.
