2013-2014 is Complete!

Farewell to our 2013-2014 School Year, the year has been completed. Today, we have finished our 2013-2014 Portfolios or Record Books as we like to call them. A beautiful reminder of the work that we did this year. Whatever work we did not finish will be saved for another time.

Homeschool Planning 2013-2014

I am excited about life in general, wherever God leads us, and this excitement pours over into our homeschool, especially our homeschool planning. It never goes exactly as I plan, God is always the Best of Planners. So here is my very planned out new school year~ based off my excitement, understanding that only a half of it may get done and knowing that We Will Learn 10 times more than I could of imagine planning.

Islamic Education

These three videos on Islamic Education and what our goals should and shouldn't be are excellent.

Abdal Hakim Murad or Timothy Winters is on the faculty of Cambridge University in Britain and has been named one of the most influential Muslims. I just love him and have loved him for awhile now. Some of my favorite speeches by him can be found on Cambridge Khutbas. All recordings from this Great Scholar are free to listen to and to learn from. May Allah preserve him.

Curriculum 2012- 2013

I have made a plan for the 2012-2013 school, but I want to be honest and say that I will probably not stick to the plan very well. I like to live in the moment and no one knows what any moment will exactly bring. However, I do like to: what the Arabs say "tie your camel" or be prepared for whatever might come. Therefore, a detailed plan of the coming school year awaits you below.
