North America

We study North American countries using the Fundamental Needs of Human and then learn about other economical and geographical features.

I made a Country Study Notebook, the first sheet dives into the Fundamental Needs of Human. The first need we all have is for a Spiritual connection to the our Creator and the World. Everyone needs love and community and when we don't have it, we become depressed and we see other ills of society occur. It is interesting to see which societies thrive and how others have high suicide rates and other problems because the Spiritual Needs have not been properly taken care of. Many countries where the Material assets are very low and would be considered poverty, the people are extremely happy because they are Rich in their Spiritual life. Then we look at the Material Needs, the basics: Food, Shelter, Transportation, etc.

Our next worksheet involves economic and geographical features.

I have also created a basic worksheet for a younger child.

Then we learned about the Flags of North America.

Lil A has done a wonderful job at learning her flags surpassing some of her older siblings. Here is an example of a three part lesson. Please excuse my sickness- congestion in the video.

I was able to laminate all the flags of North America and labels on one sheet.

The Control of Error is the color and the Country and Capital on the back of the flags as shown in the picture below for Honduras.
