Dealing with Disappointment ♥

My Beloveds were feeling a little down this past weekend, missing their friends. The thought of knowing their friends were going to be at a place that we were not invited can be hard for anyone to bear. However, this is the society we live in- people will sometimes let you down. We can't protect our children from everything, but we can soften the blow by being there for them.

First thing is to remind them of the incredible blessings we have and you can't win them all. Many times when someone or something disappoints us, it helps us to appreciate the people and the things that are constant.
You can not force a connection with people that it was never meant to be, just as you can not run away from connections that were always intended. Nor can anyone exclude you from what Allah has destined for you. Reflect on the story of Prophet Yusuf (Joseph) and have Sabr-Patience.
Second is to remind them of what Prophet Muhammad, salAllahu alaihi wasalaam said "You will be with those whom you love." No distance, other's jealousy, or cultural differences can keep you apart, if it is meant to be, you will be reunited again . . . if not in this world than in the next. Souls are not brought together by accident, there is a Divine Plan at work and we must be patient.

Lastly, always pray for forgiveness. Our own forgiveness and for Allah to forgive others.

O Allah, join our hearts, mend our relationships, and guide us to the paths of peace. Bring us out of darkness into light and keep us away from manifest and concealed obscenities. Bless us in our ears, our eyes, our hearts, our spouses, and our offsprings. Accept our repentance. Indeed, You are the Most Forgiving, the Most Merciful. Make us grateful for Your blessings, so we receive them with due praise. And perfect them for us.                                                                                                                                     (Hadith Collections: Sunan Abi Dawud)
Then take your Beloveds for frozen yoghurt and some good old fashion fun family time. Sweet Frog's and Duckpin Bowling were are local fave's of choice.
